It's Friday. It's the 17th Day of Deck the Haunted Halls. It's time for an ode to Lovecraft.
Have you ever wondered what one would do with the plethora of gifts given in the Twelve Days of Christmas? It might be more sinister than you think…
Join Founding Member Cristianna Formeller as she performs "My True Lovecraft Gave to Me" by Dr. Eric Lis. Eric very graciously granted us the rights to perform it and we're so thankful. The good doctor is a psychiatrist and writer based in Montreal, Canada, as well as the absolute ruler of the Aerican Empire (http://www.aericanempire.com/).
After appearing in Mosaic Players’ production of On the Verge this fall, Cristianna has been taking a short break from theatre to work on costume projects and spend time with her new dog. She first heard Eric Lis’s “My True Lovecraft Gave to Me” on the Drabblecast podcast some years ago, and it stuck with her ever since. She wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season!
A sad tale’s best for winter ... I have one. Of sprites and goblins.”
Mamillius, Shakespeare’s The Winter’s Tale
During the month of December, please join the Mosaic Players by the light of our shared virtual screens as we enjoy ghostly tales. Our members will be recording songs, stories, readings, and more. As videos become available, we'll post them here, there, and everywhere. If you have a ghostly tale that you'd like to share, please contact Artistic Director, Rebecca Zellar (rebecca.zellar@mosaicplayers.org). 'Tis the season!
