To celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr's legacy today, we encourage all of our members and supporters to read Dr. King's Letter from a Birmingham Jail in its entirety. Dr. King had been arrested (along with 50 others) during a nonviolent demonstration against segregation on April 12th, 1963 and wrote this letter in response to eight white southern religious leaders who wrote a public statement of "concern and caution."
